Impact on the business

Having completed the DiTEM programme, Henry feels he has extensive knowledge in using SMAC (social, mobile, analytics and cloud) in his business, and has already applied information from the training modules: “We’ve started to use cloud solutions to back-up files.”

He also believes that the knowledge gained from the DiTEM programme will instigate major changes to the way he runs The Blair Project, noting five of the training modules in particular: social media, cloud computing, big data, cyber security, and e-leadership.

The programme will hopefully have a positive impact on Henry’s team, as he noted that he now has extensive knowledge on managing and supporting virtual teams.

The training modules

Henry highlighted the content of the training module on e-leadership as particularly good, and suggested further training on cyber security, notably information on how to prevent cyber security attacks such as the Trojan virus.
